Fayetteville special needs student saved

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. - Police call it a "collaborative rescue" after a special needs student at the Sam's School in Fayetteville suddenly lost consciousness and stopped breathing Thursday

Teachers, Fayetteville police officer and paramedics all jumped to help save her life.

Officer Dylan Bell said he just happened to across the street from the school when he heard the call that a student needed CPR. He immediately ran over and found two teachers performing the life-saving procedure on 19-year-old Emily Miller, who had no pulse at the time.

Officer Bell said he then jumped in to help before paramedics arrived and revived the student.

Emily was listed in stable condition at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
