Fire started overnight, burning 200 acres in South Jersey forest

- Firefighters are battling flames that have burned more than 200 acres of New Jersey's Wharton State Forest.

The state Forest Fire Service says the fire was reported at about 1:30am Tuesday in Waterford Township, Camden County.

FOX 29's Sue Serio reports the wind likely caused the first to spread so much, so quickly. She says winds have been gusting between 25 and 30mph from the northwest for most of the night.

The flames are not threatening any homes or businesses.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
