Firefighters rescue 2 people, 1 dog in West Philly

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Officials are investigating after a fire tore through a West Philadelphia home overnight.

Firefighters rescued two people and a dog from the burning home on the 5800 block of Master Street shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Red Cross is providing emergency assistance for a total of four people displaced.
