Fog causes PHL ground stop, blamed for 10-car interstate pileup

There's traffic trouble on both sides of South Jersey's Interstate 295 and heavy fog may be to blame. Also, there's now a ground stop at Philadelphia International Airport due to the fog and low ceiling.

FOX 29's Bob Kelly reports the highway crash happened near Route 30, White Horse Pike.

There are about ten cars involved in this pileup in the northbound lanes, and one even ended up on the guardrail median. Right now, only vehicles on the right shoulder are getting by.

Apparently people hit their brakes, but it wasn't soon enough.

This mess is also affecting people on the 42 Freeway, especially those heading towards 295.

Luckily, no serious injuries have been reported.

Bob also warned about flight delays due to the fog and now, there's a ground stop at Philadelphia International Airport due to the fog and low ceiling.

Bob explained, the ground stop means planes all over the country cannot leave those other airports and head to Philadelphia. Planes already in the air will be able to land.

That'll definitely cause flight delays around the country for most of the day.
