Football field ruined where youth team practices

A Camden community cannot believe what they're facing. A driver has ruined a football field used by the youth football team and the problem could have been easily prevented.

Children who play for the Camden Raiders are heartbroken that someone trashed the football field behind the Malandra Hall Community Center.

Players and coaches couldn't believe their eyes when they showed up for practice last night to find someone had driven their truck all over the field ripping it apart.

Rob Kelley coaches the younger children and is just as upset his players.

"They should be ashamed of themselves. They should be ashamed of themselves," he told FOX 29.

Kelley and a handful of others started this team a year ago to keep the children in this neighbor off the streets.
They have 80 players ages 6-to -14.

That's right, it's all free to the players and now the coaches have to worry about this.

"We gonna try to pay for it and fix it," said player Samad Land.

Even the team's cheerleaders are bummed.

For now the team will try to practice around the mess. If you wish to help, please visit a GoFundMe page setup.
