Frankford woman arrested after reported domestic situation

A woman was arrested after a reported domestic incident in Frankford.

The incident occurred back on June 4 when 52-year-old Kimberly Church engaged in a domestic dispute with her husband, 60, at their home.

Police say the argument escalated and lead to Church taking a hammer and hitting the victim's vehicle several times in multiple places. She then ran back inside and reportedly threatened the victim with the hammer and began trying to use it to hit the victim's head. Although Church was unsuccessful in hitting her husband's head, she reportedly struck the victim's forearm with the hammer.

Officials say Church then fled the scene and was not arrested until Thursday afternoon. Police arrested her in a Walmart parking lot after another altercation with her husband.

Police have charged Kimberly with position of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, assault third degree, among others.
