Gold Alert issued for missing man in New Castle County

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. (WTXF) - Police in New Castle County have issued a Gold Alert for a missing man.

New Castle County Police are searching for 45-year-old David Thompson. Thompson is missing from a residence in Manor Park.

Authorities say New Castle County Police were called to Minuit Drive for a welfare check April 6. They were told Thompson fled the residence after making statements causing concern for his welfare.

Thompson is described as 6'2" and 210 pounds. Police say he has brown hair, green eyes and he was wearing glasses. Thompson was last seen driving a white 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer with a Pennsylvania license plate reading HRC1665.
