Group of Homeless People Save Mother and Children from Drowning

A mother and her three children are saved from their drowning car, by a group of homeless people.

The woman had lost control of her vehicle and ended up going through a guardrail into a canal.

It happened late Saturday night near John Prince Park.

That's where Chris Schuddekopf and some other homeless people spend their nights - and jumped into action when they saw the accident.

He says he and his friends each helped to pull out the three kids and their mother from the sinking car.

"Feels good. Real good. Glad they are alive," said Schuddekopf. "We ran from the pavilion, came over here, jumped in the water and saved them."

The mother and her kids are all expected to recover. The crash is under investigation.
