Gunman wounds man in minivan, teen nearby

Police have a better idea of the gunman in a late-night shooting outside a convenience store in Juniata.

They say a 16-year-old girl and 23-year-old woman reported walking on the 4000 block of 'O' Street at about 10:45pm Wednesday when a dark minivan pulled in the driveway and parked.

Then, a man outside it took a handgun from his waistband and fired two shots into the minivan.

After, the minivan drove westbound through the driveway and the gunman walked away in an unknown direction.

The teen said she ran to a neighbor's house and realized she'd been shot in her left thigh. The neighbor called police and the victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Soon after, police learned a 22-year-old man was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle after being shot in the chest. He's listed in critical condition.

That vehicle was a blue 2005 Buick Terraza minivan. Police say the driver tried to get away, but was stopped at 1600 E. Wakeling Street.

The gunman who fired inside it is described as having a light complexion, and he was wearing glasses, a white t-shirt, and blue jeans.
