I-295 open again after pedestrian killed in Burlington County

MT. LAUREL, N.J. (WTXF) - Interstate 295 is back open after a person was hit and killed by a tractor trailer.

It happened at about 4am on the northbound side between mile markers 40 and 41. The scene has since been cleared.

Earlier, police closed the northbound lanes at Exit 36 in Mt. Laurel.

All northbound traffic was forced all at Route 73, which is near the New Jersey Turnpike's Exit 4.

There's no word why anybody was walking on I-295 or on exactly what caused the crash.
