Kitchen fire prompts evacuation at Springfield Mall

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WTXF) - A kitchen fire at the Springfield Mall prompted a brief evacuation on Saturday, according to Delaware County officials.

The fire began in a Sbarro's kitchen just after 3:30 p.m. and was brought under control a short time later.

The mall reopened just before 4 p.m.

Officials say no one was injured as a result of the incident.
