Lakeville, Minn. cop builds ramp for woman he helped after fall

A Lakeville, Minn. police officer went above and beyond the call of duty to build a ramp in his free time for a woman he had helped after a fall.

Last week, Sgt. Jay Castonguay responded to a call of a resident who had fallen inside of her garage, according to the Lakeville Police Department. Her husband had medical issues and was unable to assist her.

The woman told Castonguay she often had trouble with the garage steps. Wanting to help, the officer went back to the house on his days off and built a ramp in their garage so the couple would no longer have to worry about the stairs.
