Large Shark Teeth, Megalodon Fossils Wash-Up on North Carolina Beaches

NORTH CAROLINA- Put down the metal detector and open your eyes! If you're on the beach looking for treasure, there may be a small financial opportunity that has a place in history.

According to WECT, large shark teeth have been washing up on North Carolina stores after a series of coastal stores.

WECT cites the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher saying the biggest of these deep sea dental discoveries once belonged to a Megalodon, making them millions of years old.

The teeth have reportedly been discovered in record amounts on the state's since the beginning of this month.

WECT reported that these fossils can be found for sale online for upwards of $300 at times.
