Little girl sings to foster dog in touching video

Philadelphia (WTXF) A Good Day Philadelphia fan posted a touching video of her daughter singing to the family's foster dog.

Donna Masusock's family is part of PACT (Pact for Animals), which is an organization who helps find foster families for people's pets who are deployed with the military or need to be hospitalized

As part of their involvement with this organization, the Masusock family fosters dogs. They have fostered four dogs since they became involved with the organization in June 2014. Three of the dogs belonged to deployed service members and one to someone who was undergoing medical treatments and was unable to care for the dog. They are currently fostering a dog named Laila whose owner is serving overseas with the United States Navy and will return in June.

In the video Anna, Donna's daughter, can be seen singing 'You are my Sunshine' to the dog and petting her head. Anna is eight and has a passion for singing. Donna says that Laila and Anna lay in bed every night singing. According to the mom. it calms both the little girl and the dog a lot. Her mother stated that all of the dogs that they have fostered love Anna's singing, even if it drives her twin brother Liam crazy.

It is not just Laila that benefits from being taken in by this loving family. Donna's mother passed away from a battle with lung cancer in February, and Donna says that Laila is such a loving dog that she is bringing great comfort the family.

Laila will be returned to her owner, Cristina, on June 25th.
