Upper Darby, Pa. (WTXF) - Police say a mom dropped a deadly drug near a kindergarten playground. She turned herself in after packets of fentanyl were found last week, according to police.
29-year-old Dollinda Williams is accused of dropping dozens of packets of fentanyl while picking up her 5-year-old son from St. Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic grade school in Drexel Hill last week. According to police, Williams somehow dropped a sandwich bag filled with 29 smaller bags of fentanyl.
"It's lethal, it's lethal. It's 50 to 100 more powerful than heroin," Superintendent Chitwood said.
Police say Williams realized the drug bag was gone, went back and started looking around telling school officials she was looking for money when confronted. Parents found the drugs before it eventually got to authorities.
Superintendent Michael Chitwood says Williams surrendered and confessed to having the drugs. She's charged with drug possession and recklessly endangering the welfare of children.
