1 killed, 1 critically injured in Hunting Park shooting

HUNTING PARK (WTXF) - One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting in Hunting Park late Saturday night.

The incident occurred on the 3800 block of North Park Avenue.

Police responded to a radio call for a person with a gun/shooting at 10:43 p.m.

When they arrived to the scene, police found two gunshot victims seated inside a gray Dodge Charger that was parked in from of a home on the block.

Victim #1, a 20-year-old black male, was seated in the front passenger seat. He suffered from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, left arm, and left hip.

He was taken to Temple Hospital and pronounced at 11:08 p.m.

Victim #2, a 17-year-old black female, was seated in the driver's seat and was found to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her legs and back. She was taken to Temple Hospital in critical condition.

Officials recovered nine 9mm shell casings.
