Prosecutor: One Dead, One at large in Vineland Officer Involved Shooting

One person is dead after an officer involved shooting in Vineland, NJ.
 
According to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, police were called to the area of 7th and Cherry Streets for a report of several shots fired. When officers arrived, the found a robbery victim, but two suspects had fled the scene.
 
Police were able to locate two robbery suspects in the area of East Avenue and Almond Street. At that time, officers pursued the two males on foot and exchanged gunfire with them. One suspect shot and was taken to the hospital where he later died. The other suspect got away. 
 
The suspect police are trying to locate is believed to be a black male who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
 
The victim of the robbery was flown to Atlantic City Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.
 
The matter is being investigated by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. The New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit is assisting.
