16-year-old charged with murder following shooting that killed one teen, wounded two others

A 16-year-old has been charged following a shooting that killed one teen and left two others wounded.

Joshua Richardson has been charged with one count of Murder, VUFA-No License, VUFA-On Streets, VUFA-Possession by a Minor; two counts of Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Simple Assault; and three counts of Criminal Conspiracy, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

On July 11 at 9:50 p.m. officers responded to a call for a report of a person with a gun on the 6000 block of Baltimore Avenue.

When they arrived, they found three shooting victims.

15-year-old Tyhir Barnes was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his face. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced at 12:11 a.m.

The second victim, a 16-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg, he was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by private vehicle and is listed in stable condition.

The third victim, a 14-year-old, suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm, he was taken to CHOP by private vehicle and listed in stable condition.

Police say that the motive behind the shooting stemmed from an argument.

After an intensive investigation, homicide investigators develop a suspect and a warrant was issued for Richardson.
