OLD CITY (WTXF) - We first introduced you to Fresco a couple of months ago.
It's a cool app that lets you become a part of our news team, and now even more of you can take part.
As of today, iPhone and Android users can download the app and become citizen journalists… and that's not the only perk.
Take Durrell for example. He is a student from West Philly, and he loves to shoot video.
Luckily, Durrell found Fresco, and now he's one of the newest members of the FOX 29 News Team.
"When I tell my mom where I'm going, I'm doing this for Fresco she says, I'm gonna record the news tonight," Durrell explained.
If you watch FOX 29 you've seen Durrell's stuff.
Durrell responds, shoots, uploads and gets paid to be part of our team.
"One day I was on the way to an internship," he explained, "I stopped for literally like two minutes. I made a good stop."
On another night Durrell was there as firefighters put out car fires in West Philly, and as crowds ate up at a food truck fest in Center City.
He was in Bensalem to shoot the St. Katherine Drexel shrine up for sale, and he captured the joy of people finishing the million dollar bike race in University City.
Durrell's never far from home.
Durrell shoots what we request in his area, or what he sees that looks like news.
When we use what Durrell shoots, he gets paid.
"I thought, this is cool. That was some quick cash," he said, "I've been purchased a bunch of times, I may spend it, but it's also money I didn't have before.
Durrell, and his family and friends love to see what he shot on FOX 29.
