2 killed in Chester shooting Wednesday

CHESTER, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in Chester are investigating a shooting that left two people dead Wednesday night.

Officers responded to 9 th and Highland Avenue after hearing gunshots around 7:15 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene they found one man lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound, and witnessed a red Pontiac fleeing the scene. After further investigation officers learned the car was transporting a second victim to Crozer Chester Medical Center.

The victim who was found in the street was later pronounced dead by responding paramedics. The second victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police have not identified the victims and ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact police.
