2 men charged in Rhawnhurst double shooting

Police have arrested two men allegedly responsible for a Rhawnhurst double shooting that left one man in critical condition on Monday.

Christopher Davenport and Khaseem Meadley, both 22, have been charged with three counts of criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault and related offenses.

The pair is accused of shooting two men, ages 21 and 27, in the back. The 21-year-old victim is in critical condition, while the 27-year-old victim is stable.

Police say one of the suspects fired multiple shots from inside a car near Bustleton and Cottmon avenues around 8:30 p.m.

Officers subsequently stopped the suspects and recovered a long gun rifle from a white 2007 GMC Yukon.

A 66-year-old woman also told investigators that while sitting in her living room, a shot came through her front window, striking the wall directly above her head.
