ASTON, PA (WTXF) - After a tweak here and a tweak there, 84-year-old Bill Galbraith has his Christmas light display just about under control.
There's too many lights to count. In fact, there are so many they need their own outdoor electrical box.
Bill's magical displays all started 35-years ago after his wife Nora put him to work.
"It was her thing. You are an electrician can’t you light the place up. That is how it got started," Bill explained.
Year after year, the lights grew and grew. Then one day, it all stopped.
Bill and Nora's health put the Christmas lights on hold. Nora passed away earlier this year.
"She was sick. She asked me several times and when she passed, I told the group this is what I am going to do," Bill said.
So, Bill got back to work, and for the first time in ten years, put up all the lights on and around their Aston home.
"It was sad one way because I didn’t do it when she could see it," Bill said.
With the help of his entire family, the lights are back on at the Galbraith home bringing joy to a new generation of family members.
