LOGAN (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police are investigating an early morning shooting in the city’s Logan neighborhood that left a woman in critical condition.
The shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m. near 11th and Rockland Streets Tuesday morning.
Police say a 42-year-old woman was shot once in the face by a stray bullet as she drove to work.
The gunman has been described as a man wearing no shirt, and blue sweatpants.
The gunman opened fire from the 4800 block of Marvine Street and fled in a gold Lincoln Town Car in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to Einstein Hospital and listed in critical condition.
No arrests have been made at this time, and investigators have not yet revealed a motive.
Surveillance video from a nearby store shows an unknown man running down the street, as the woman's car pulls over on the side of the road after the driver had apparently been shot. Detectives are investigating whether or not the second man may have been the intended target.
