Charges filed against suspect in officer involved shooting

- Philadelphia Police have released new information on an officer involved shooting that left a 37-year-old man in critical condition last week.

Last Thursday, around 7:30 p.m. SEPTA and Philadelphia Police Officers responded to a home on the 400 block of East Somerset Street for a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene to find a 48-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. At that time, other officers were arriving at the scene, as 37-year-old Jose LeBron walked out of the home with a gun in his hand.

Police say LeBron started pointing the gun at his own head and at officers as they arrived on scene, and ignored repeated commands to drop the weapon.

No officers or other civilians were injured in the incident.
