Harry Connick, Jr. Will Host a New Show on Fox Stations

Harry Connick, Jr., the musician, actor and American Idol star, will host a new daytime entertainment show starting in September of 2016.

The show, titled Harry, will air on Fox’s owned-and-operating stations in 17 markets and will be syndicated elsewhere, the show’s production entity, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution, announced Tuesday.

The show is described as “a unique variety program for the new millennium aimed at entertaining the modern daytime audience.”

Connick will host the show, with Justin and Eric Stangel, both former head writers and executive producers of The Late Show With David Letterman, serving as executive producers along with Ann Marie Wilkins and Connick himself.

"I'm a lucky guy. I get to be a husband to a wonderful wife, a father to three incredible daughters, and an entertainer to the most amazing fans. And now, I’m honored to be able to put smiles on people’s faces on a daily basis,” Harry Connick, Jr. said in a statement.

“Working with the amazingly talented and hysterical Stangel Brothers is a dream come true. ‘Harry’ will be an hour filled with fun, music and laughter. Fasten your seat belts - it's gonna be one heck of a good time!”
