NEW JERSEY (WTXF) - A New Jersey man claims that he has photo evidence that he spotted the infamous Jersey Devil.
Dave Black from Little Egg Harbor Township told NJ.com that he was driving past a golf course on Route 9 in Galloway when he caught sight of the monster.
Black took multiple pictures, but only one clearly showed the devil.
The photo showed a creature with dark brown fur, wings, and cloven feet.
Black described it as a “large flying mammal about the size of a deer.”
The legend of the New Jersey Devil dates back to the 1700’s. Residents from New Jersey have continued to spread tales about the creature and many claim to have seen it, but there is no concrete evidence of its existence.
Black is adamant that his picture is authentic and was not “photoshopped or a staged thing”, according to FOX 59.
“People have said it’s fake, but it’s not. I’m honestly just looking for an explanation for what I saw,” Black told NJ.com.
A YouTube video taken by Emily Martin also claims to have captured the Jersey Devil in Leeds Point where the monster was born according to legend.
