Two cars torched in Northeast Philadelphia

- Two cars were torched early Monday morning in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident occurred just after 3:00 a.m. on Janney and Tioga Streets.

The fire was quickly placed under control and the fire marshal was called to the scene.

Neighbors say that someone stuffed something into the gas tanks and lit them on fire. One of the neighbor’s sons came out and put the fires out before the fire department arrived at the scene.
