Suspect Stole From Restaurant ATM in Carroll Park

- The Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect who was caught on video  committing a burglary of a Southwest Philadelphia restaurant- breaking into an ATM with what appeared to be a blowtorch.

According to police, the crime took place at 4:29 a.m. on October 12 as the suspect, a Black male, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, and baseball hat, forced open a rear door of the Tastie’s Restaurant at 1214 North 52nd Street.

On surveillance video, the man is seen taking money both from the restaurant’s catch register and a safe, which he pried open with a plugged-in implement that appears to be a blowtorch.
