Woman killed in Tioga rooming house identified, suspect was live-in boyfriend

Philadelphia Police are investigating a homicide in the Tioga section of the city.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon around 3:11 p.m. on the 3700 block of N. 18 th Street.

According to police, a 52-year-old female was assaulted inside a rooming house by a 54-year-old male.

Police responded to a radio call of a "Person Screaming/Hospital Case" at the location. When they arrived, they met with emergency medical crews who directed them to the first floor front apartment.

Officers found the victim, identified as 52-year-old Kimberly Foster, laying face up on the floor. According to police she had been kicked and punched several times by her live-in boyfriend identified as 54-year-old Joseph House.

Foster was transported to Temple Hospital and pronounced at 3:58 p.m.

House was apprehended and charged with murder and related offenses.
