Mayor-Elect Jim Kenney announced Wednesday that he will appoint David J. Perri the city’s next Commissioner for Licenses and Inspections. Perri is currently the Commissioner for the Streets Department of Philadelphia and is a former Deputy Commissioner and Chief Code Engineer for the Department of Licenses and Inspection.
Bruce Gordon caught up with the new commissioner when he was introduced:

Kenney also announced that Donald D. Carlton will serve as Streets Commissioner in the next administration. Carlton is currently Deputy Streets Commissioner and is a 23-year veteran of the department. Kenney tweeted Wednesday that Carlton "started out walking behind a trash truck," and will now lead the department.
