Embattled AG Kane Hires Independent Investigators to Review Lewd Emails

- A team of Washington-based lawyers, are combing through thousands of emails from government computers.

This investigation came at the request of embattled Attorney General, Kathleen Kane.

Kane says the team will be led by former Maryland Attorney General, Doug Gansler.

Gansler said with subpoena and grand jury powers, he can prosecute if they find evidence crimes occurred.

He also pledged to release most if not all of the emails in question.

The total cost for Gansler and his team will be around $2 million money that Kane says will come from her office.

Katheleen Kane reportedly discovered the racial, pornographic, and homophobic emails during a review of the Jerry Sandusky case.

She is awaiting trial on charges that she leaked secret grand jury material to a newspaper, and lied about it.

FOX 29's Jeff Cole has been following the case, and discussed it on Good Day Wednesday morning.
