61-year-old North Wales man arrested on child pornography charges

NORTH WALES (WTXF) - A North Wales man has been arrested on child pornography charges.

According to a press release, between July 8, 2016 and August 26, 2016 Abington Township Detective Richard Beaghley conducted an undercover, electronic communications operation online regarding a computer that was specifically configured to anonymously share files with others.

Detective Beaghley directly connected to the computer and downloaded 14 video files that depicted children under the age of 18 engaged in sexual acts and/or poses.

The investigation traced the computer to 61-year-old Robert Greene's home.

Police executed a search warrant on the home and seized a Dell desktop computer along with other electronic and computer-related devices. An examination of the computer revealed a total of 463 images and 49 videos of child pornography.

Greene has been charged with distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and criminal use of a communication facility.

He was arraigned and then released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
