Surveillance video shows man snatching money from victim's hands in Tioga theft

- Northwest Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the man behind a theft in Tioga that happened on New Year’s Eve.

The incident occurred at the BP gas station located at 2200 West Allegheny Avenue at 2:52 a.m.

The 33-year-old male victim was using an ATM machine inside.

While the victim was in a corner of the station counting his money, an unknown male grabbed the money from his hand and then ran in an unknown direction.

According to police, the suspects arrived at the station in a late 90s to early 2000s silver Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria sedan with dark tinted side windows.

After the suspect fled with the money, he returned to the area approximately two minutes later, motioning towards the vehicle as he walks away.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, early-to-mid-20s, medium brown complexion, with a thin build, wearing a black puffy hooded coat, blue jeans, and black/white sneakers.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, early-to-mid-20s, medium brown complexion, with a medium build, wearing a gray/black hooded jacket with the hood up, dark-colored pants, and dark-colored sneakers.
