7 firefighters injured following string of suspicious fires in Camden

CAMDEN, NJ - Officials in Camden say multiple abandoned homes were set on fire leaving seven firefighters injured over the weekend. Now they are investigating a possible arson spree.

Most of the fires occurred in during the day at vacant properties in South Camden.

Investigators at a press conference Sunday evening told reporters that some of the fires happened in adjacent neighborhoods often occurring within minutes of one another.

The firefighters who suffered injuries were treated for mostly physical exhaustion.

The Arson Task Force is asking is the public for help by reporting any incidents that appear to be suspicious.
