Local Tattoo Parlor Employee In Shoot-out With Robbers

- An attempted robbery of a tattoo parlor in the city’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood went awry last week when an employee of the business began firing at the suspects.

The incident took place January 14 at 7:49 p.m., at the parlor located on the 1900 block of North 31st Street. Two suspects entered the business and one pulled a handgun and began demanding money.

At that point, an employee pulled a handgun of his own and began to fire at the suspects. After a brief exchange of fire, in which a customer was wounded in the leg, the suspects fled.
