SEPTA: Some Services Restored as Work Continues

- PHILADELPHIA, PA  – As Winter Storm Jonas winds down, SEPTA is working toward restoring service on bus, trolley and rail lines that have been suspended since 4 a.m. Saturday.

“There are number of challenges resulting from the storm, which has delivered snowfall totals that exceeded forecasted amounts,” said SEPTA General Manager Jeffrey D. Knueppel. The snow has pushed the expected 4 a.m. start time to 10 a.m. for many of our services, and even longer for certain routes and lines.

Below is an update on the status of SEPTA’s services for Sunday:

Bus: Routes 9, 14, 15B, 20, 21, 37, 42, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 66, 70, 78, 79, 84, 93, 104, 109, 110, 111, 113, 124 and 125 are operating. Customers should check the System Status section at www.septa.org for detour information. 

Trolley: Routes 10, 11, 13, 15, 34 and 36 are operating on or close to schedule. 

Full service between 69th Street Transportation Center and Media has been restored on the Route 101. Passengers may experience delays. 

Service on the Route 102 is currently suspended.

Market-Frankford Line: Service is operating on or close to schedule. Trains will operate in place of the Night Owl buses this evening. 

Broad Street Line: Service is operating on or close to schedule. Night Owl buses will operate tonight. 

Regional Rail: Service on all lines, except for the Airport Line, is suspended. The Airport Line is operating hourly between Temple University Station and the Airport.


Norristown High Speed Line: Service remains suspended at this time. 

CCT Paratransit: Service will continue for dialysis patients only.

Parking: Parking spaces will be limited throughout the system. In-house forces and contractors are working to plow parking lots throughout the system. Snow removal efforts will run at night all next week, with snow being trucked out of many lots. Residents parked in PPA lots can remain in those lots for the $5 emergency price until Tuesday morning.

The SEPTA Customer Service Call Center at (215) 580-7800 will open at 7 a.m. on Sunday, and will be staffed with extra personnel. In addition, the SEPTA Social Media Team (@SEPTA_Social) will also be available to answer inquiries via Twitter starting at 7 a.m.
