American Airlines flight departing from PHL cancelled after report of smoke in cabin

An American Airlines flight departing from Philadelphia International Airport has been cancelled after a report of smoke in the cabin of the plane.

According to a spokeswoman from PHL, an AA Eagle Flight from Philadelphia to Cincinnati backed away from the gate and was on the taxi-way ready to depart when there was a report of smoke in the cabin.

Crews were dispatched for inspection, but did not find anything.

The plane was taken out of service and the flight was cancelled.

No injuries were reported.
