Arrest made in fatal shooting outside Norristown fast food restaurant

Police in Montgomery County have arrested and charged a man in the murder of a 24-year-old man outside a Norristown McDonald's earlier this week.

Jonathan Walker, 22, has been charged in the shooting death of Marquis Johnson late Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the fast food restaurant on West Main Street around 11:40 p.m. to find Johnson lying in the drive-thru lane of the restaurant, suffering from multiple gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on at the scene.

Detectives determined that the two men were involved in a verbal argument inside a gas station next door, and 11 shots were fired after the men left the store.

Walker has been charged with first and third degree murder and possessing an instrument of crime.

Walker is being held without bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for June 23 rd .
