Cause of large Frankford fire uncovered

FRANKFORD (WTXF) - Days after a massive fire in Frankford investigators now know where the fire started.

Officials saying they think the fire started in an auto body shop.

The owner of Joe's Auto Body says he heard a circuit breaker pop, then quickly saw the smoke and flames.

Not only did he lose his business of 26-years, he also lost his dog in the fire.

Everyone says this is a big loss for the entire community.

Owners of the neighboring businesses are hoping they can get inside Tuesday to see what they can salvage, if anything.

There's no word on how long it will take all that ice to thaw.

At least six businesses were destroyed by the fire.
