Center City preschool evacuated due to building's structural damage

Preschoolers in Center City were evacuated Monday morning after police say the school's building sustained structural damage.

Officers responded to Eurokids Learning Center on Pine Street just before 11 a.m for a reported explosion. Upon their arrival, officials determined there was no explosion; rather, beams underneath the building's floor shifted, causing structural damage.

Approximately 20 children were evacuated. No injuries were reported.

The business owner remained on the scene Monday morning while waiting for Licenses and Inspections officials to arrive.
