Cherry Hill Police: Juvenile Charged After Online Threat Surfaced

CHERRY HILL, NJ (WTXF) - There will be increased security presence at Cherry Hill High School East on Monday after police were notified about a threatening text message circulated on social media.

The origin of the message was pursued by the police department's Investigative Unit and at this time a juvenile has been charged with one count of "making a false public alarm" on Sunday.

"We are grateful for those in the community who contacted us to report the messages. Your assistance allowed the Cherry Hill Police Department to aggressively investigate the matter and quickly bring it to closure," the police departed posted online.
