Child struck and killed by car in West Philadelphia
WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A child was struck and killed by a vehicle in West Philadelphia Sunday evening.
The incident occurred on the 4800 block of Merion Avenue at 6:45 p.m.
A 23-month-old black male ran in between parked cars and ran out into the street. He was struck by a Chevy Trailblazer that was traveling westbound on Merion Avenue towards 49 th Street.
The child was taken to CHOP and was pronounced at 7:13 p.m.
The striking vehicle and the driver remained on location.
