Coast Guard Searching For Fishing Vessel Off Jersey Shore After Mayday Call

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (WTXF) - The United States Coast Guard is searching for a vessel in distress of the New Jersey shore Sunday night.

Authorities say a mayday call was received around 12:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon from the fishing vessel Interlude.

According to the mayday call, the vessel had been taking on water and was attempting to head into port.

Search teams were deployed by air and sea from Atlantic City, but the search is ongoing.
