Dogs Bond With Three Blind Cats, Cause a Sensation

- The story of a trio of blind cats at a Delaware animal shelter who were befriended a pair of rescue pitbulls has gone viral in recent weeks.

According to the Huffington Post account, it all started at the Faithful Friends Society, a no-kill animal shelter in Wilmington. A trio of cats- named Helen, Bruce and Willis- arrived at the shelter with eye problems. Soon, their eyes were removed.

A volunteer at the shelter, Sherry Stewart, decided to foster the three cats, putting them under one roof with her two rescue pit bulls Alfie and Frankie- and the animals got along much better than dogs and cats typically do.

In fact, the dogs have acted as a kind of surrogate parents to the three cats, bonding with them in a personal and moving way.

The story has since gone viral, picked up by the Huffington Post, USA Today, the Discovery Channel and numerous other places.

The cats, and several others, are available for permanent adoption from the shelter; if you’re interested visit Faithful Friends’ adoption page here:
