Exton man arrested in road rage incident

Police in West Whiteland Township have arrested and charged an Exton man following a road rage incident on Monday,

Scott Sanford, 49, has been charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, and other related offenses in connection with the alleged incident.

Police say the victim and his 18-year-old son were travelling east on E. Swedesford Road, when Sanford began tailgating the victim's vehicle.

Sanford then passed the victim's car on the left, nearly colliding with the victim's vehicle, and coming to a stop.

That's when police say Sanford exited his vehicle with a retractable baton in hand, and approached the victim's car. Sanford eventually got back into his car and drove off.

Officers were able to track down Sanford thanks to video of the incident and Sanford's license plate, shot by the victim's teenage son.
