Family Donates Christmas to Ronald McDonald House

CAMDEN, N.J.- WTXF - Talk about a selfless gift.Instead of exchanging presents with one another... One family helped to bring smiles to 25 other families.

While most of us spent the day with friends and family exchanging gifts one New Jersey family decided to give up their traditional Christmas and dedicate this year to helping others

Jennifer Barrientos Morris is a fire marshal in Camden and after conducting an inspection at Ronald McDonald House she and her family decided that rather than exchange gifts with each other they would give them to the 25 families of sick and injured children living here.

The Ronald McDonald House staff shared family information so the Barrientos-Morris family could do the shopping and from the response it looks like the presents they got were perfect.

22 members of the Barrientos-Morris family gave up their own presents to give to the families at the Ronald McDonald house and everyone of them agreed it made Christmas a little bit more special this year.
