Firefighter injured, woman displaced after Southwest Philly fire

- A fire in Southwest Philadelphia sent one firefighter to the hospital and forced a woman and her cat out of their home overnight.

Flames broke out at a home on the 4900 block of Paschall Avenue just after 11 p.m. Sunday night.

Fire officials say the flames quickly spread to four row homes, but only one of them was occupied. The woman and her car were able to safely get out of the home.

A firefighter sustained a minor injury, and was taken to Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition.

The fire was placed under control within an hour and the cause remains under investigation.
