Five people arrested following undercover investigation at rave in Stroudsburg

- Five people were arrested on various charges following an undercover investigation at a “rave” in Stroudsburg on Saturday.

According to a press release, members of the Monroe County Drug Task Force conducted their undercover investigation at the HyperGlow Tour inside the Sherman Theater.

The press release states that the HyperGlow Tour is advertised as “America’s largest touring glow experience” with electronic dance music.

The event has high-energy dance music, “mind-blowing performances”, live art, and body paint.

Monroe County District Attorney’s Office detectives planned for the investigation after they realized that other similar events in the past resulted in several drug overdoses, fights and excessive alcohol consumption.

According to the press release, rave parties like HyperGlow are known for the use of Ecstacy to enhance the overall experience as well as marijuana, cocaine, and molly.

Undercover officers entered HyperGlow to mingle with the ultimate goal of purchasing drugs, which they were successful in doing.

22-year-old Nicholas Smith Stroudsburg and 22-year-old Diego Morales of Bridgeport both sold marijuana to an undercover police officer, according to the press release.

The document also states that Morales was also in possession of acid/LSD which he allegedly purchased on Main Street just before he entered the rave.

Smith was in possession of marijuana and a scale, the press release states.

They were taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility where Smith was then released on $10,000 bail and Morales was released on $2,500 bail.

23-year-old Candice Vandever of Kunkletown, PA and 25-year-old Ryan Bitler of Bethlehem were in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the press release. The document states that they were both found in a vehicle and arrested before they entered the rave.

19-year-old Dax Pradarits of Sparta, NJ was arrested for underage drinking and received a citation.
