Five people injured in Germantown blaze

Five people were injured in a Germantown fire Sunday evening.

The incident occurred at 56 East Clapier Street at 6:09 p.m.

Firefighters arrived to the location four minutes after the alarm was struck, finding heavy smoke on all levels of the floor.

There were also reports that occupants were trapped.

The fire was extinguished in 13 minutes.

Two occupants of the hope were critically injured while three others were taken for smoke inhalation.

No firefighters were injured.

The fire is being investigated for the cause.
