Gloucester Township police credit 'Furbo' dog camera in aiding arrest of burglar

- Gloucester Township police say an interactive dog camera helped lead to the arrest of a burglary suspect earlier this month.

According to police, the residents received a notification from their Furbo, and interactive dog camera that lets you see, talk, and give treats to your dog remotely. They were notified that there was a human inside their home while they were not home. The camera is able to distinguish whether motion was made by humans or a dog.

The man entered the home, and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Using video recorded by the Furbo camera, officers were able to identify the suspect by a distinct tattoo. He was arrested and charged with burglary and theft on September 8.

In a press conference Thursday, police shared the video recorded on the Furbo device that shows the suspect opening a door and exposing the armband tattoo that helped identify him.
